As District Manager, you'll lead three Iowa dispensaries - Iowa City, Waterloo, and Council Bluffs - while also serving as the on-site General Manager of the Iowa City location. This district is expected to expand into southern Minnesota as the company grows. This is a high-impact, dual-accountability role for a leader who excels at both big-picture strategy and boots-on-the-ground execution.
What You'll Do

  • Own district P&L, monitor KPIs, and guide GMs on labor planning, sales targets, and cost control
  • Conduct regular store visits, walkthroughs, and audits to improve execution and support leadership development
  • Ensure consistent compliance with policies, brand standards, and safety protocols across all locations
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance on promotions, inventory, and process improvements
  • Partner with HR to recruit top talent and build a bench of future leaders

General Manager - Iowa City
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the Iowa City team of managers and associates to exceed operational and financial goals
  • Oversee daily scheduling, cash and inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance
  • Develop and coach Assistant Managers, preparing them for future leadership roles
  • Champion a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure safety, consistency, and excellence in every facet of daily store operations

What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of progressive retail leadership, including 3+ years of multi-unit management experience
  • 5+ years in multi-functional retail management with direct supervisory responsibility
  • Strong P&L management and analytical skills; data-driven decision-maker
  • Proven ability to coach and develop leaders at multiple levels
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and critical judgment skills
  • Comfortable with scheduling, inventory systems, and financial reporting
  • Comfortable with frequent travel between Iowa City, Waterloo, Council Bluffs, and Southern MN; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • 100% in-office commitment across locations - this is not a remote role
  • High level of integrity, personal motivation, adaptability, and sense of urgency
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information
  • Must report to work sober at all times
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly (up to 200 lbs with assistance), with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
  • Minimum 21 years of age
