Description
Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a multi-state contractor headquartered in California, specializing in commercial skilled trade services. We are seeking a licensed Texas Master Electrician to serve as the company's Master Electrician of Record and oversee electrical operations for a Texas-licensed electrical contractor.
This role carries responsibility for regulatory compliance, supervision of electrical operations, and the quality of electrical work performed under the company's Electrical Contractor License. The successful candidate must meet Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements to serve as the company's designated Master Electrician.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Master Electrician of Record for electrical operations in Texas
  • Ensure compliance with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and applicable state and local electrical codes
  • Provide technical oversight and direction for electrical installations, repairs, service work, and projects
  • Review electrical work for code compliance, quality standards, and industry best practices
  • Support inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries as required
  • Maintain an active Texas Master Electrician license and designation as the company's Master Electrician of Record

Requirements
  • Active Texas Master Electrician License in good standing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
  • Eligible and available to be designated as the Master Electrician of Record for a Texas electrical contractor in accordance with TDLR requirements
  • Recent and relevant commercial electrical experience related to the responsibilities and scope of a Master Electrician
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable Texas and local electrical codes
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical supervision and oversight of electrical operations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience serving as a Master Electrician of Record or Electrical Manager
  • Experience overseeing commercial and/or multi-site electrical operations
  • Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid capacity while fulfilling required supervisory and operational responsibilities
