Job description

About MGCMedical Group Care, Inc. is a Naples, Florida-based importer, distributor, and private-label brand owner of FDA-regulated consumer health products, spanning OTC monograph drugs, cosmetics and skincare, feminine hygiene, and in vitro diagnostics. Our products reach major national retail partners.
The RoleMGC is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join as an independent contractor overseeing the end-to-end movement of inbound and outbound product across our supply chain — from international ocean freight and customs clearance through warehousing, retail distribution, and returns. This role is critical to ensuring our FDA-regulated products move efficiently, compliantly, and on schedule to our retail partners.
Key Responsibilities•       Manage inbound international shipments (ocean and air freight), including coordination with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
•       Track shipments end-to-end and proactively resolve issues such as customs holds, documentation discrepancies, or piece-count/quantity variances
•       Own relationships with carriers, 3PLs, and brokers; negotiate rates and service terms
•       Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and FDA import regulations for regulated health products
•       Coordinate with retail partners on routing guides, EDI/ASN requirements, and delivery compliance to avoid chargebacks/debit memos
•       Manage warehouse inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and coordination with 3PL/fulfillment partners
•       Analyze and resolve retail logistics chargebacks and debit memos
•       Maintain and improve SOPs for import/export, warehousing, and distribution logistics
•       Prepare regular reporting on shipment status, on-time performance, and logistics costs for leadership
Qualifications•       5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export management, ideally with consumer products or FDA-regulated goods
•       Strong knowledge of international shipping (ocean freight, bills of lading, customs clearance processes)
•       Experience working with major retail partners' logistics and compliance requirements (routing guides, EDI, chargeback resolution)
•       Familiarity with FDA import requirements for OTC drugs, cosmetics, or related regulated products a plus
•       Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort working directly with brokers, carriers, and retail logistics teams to resolve discrepancies
•       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•       Proficiency with ERP systems (Business Central experience a plus) and standard office/logistics software
•       Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Engagement Details•       Independent contractor (1099) engagement
•       Competitive contract rate, commensurate with experience
•       Opportunity to play a key role in a growing, FDA-regulated consumer health products company
•       Collaborative, fast-paced environment with direct exposure to company leadership

Flexible work from home options available.
