As a Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
• Formulating and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on facilitating recovery and enhancing resilience among patients.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address individual patient needs.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to guide patients through coping strategies and emotional processing related to traumatic experiences.
• Coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for patients.
• Providing crisis intervention during urgent patient needs, assessing situations quickly to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
• Educating patients and their family members on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, fostering an environment of understanding and support.
• Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation as per APA and relevant regulatory standards.
• Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed best practices.
• Staying informed on current research trends and methodologies in trauma therapy to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.

Your role will primarily focus on working with individuals dealing with the aftermath of traumatic experiences, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and various life-altering events. You will have the opportunity to assist clients in understanding their trauma narrative and developing healthy coping mechanisms. To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally within mental health counseling focused on trauma.
• Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care principles.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapy and interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and understanding with patients and colleagues.
• Capability to manage high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.
• Competency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication platforms essential for remote work.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

While not mandatory, preferred candidates will have:

• Advanced training in modalities like EMDR or TF-CBT.
• Previous experience working in community health settings or with vulnerable populations.
• Familiarity with various crisis intervention techniques and resources available for clients.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
