The Excellerate Project Manager is responsible for managing internal/external customer interface of large and complex Excellerate product orders, including managing change, and stewarding projects through the production system to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate mustbe proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:Bachelor Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training

Experience:1year of electrical estimating experience

or

Experience:5 years experience in the electrical trade and 1year of electrical estimating experience

Travel: 15-20%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and manages large and/or multi-site Excellerate orders. Ensures that orders are completed profitably, in a timely manner, and according to customer expectations.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies.
  • Promotes a positive company culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
  • Works with Purchasing Department and vendors to ensure effective material coordination.
  • Networks, establishes, and maintains customer relationships.
  • Processes miscellaneous paperwork.
  • Prepares, supports, presents as required order status and manufacturing metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attends weekly and monthly meetings (i.e., Customer Project Meetings, Project Manager Meeting, Sales Meeting, etc.).
  • Reviews quotations and sales orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Acts as coach and developer of managerial talent; as well as skillfully selects and trains those individuals. Evaluates candidates' and managers' willingness to lead, communication and planning competencies, and ability to make decisions under pressure. Assigns team and project-leadership assignments to assess skill/ability. Spends ample time evaluating people in 'test' managerial roles. Holds managers who report to him/her accountable for managerial work.
  • Manages the boundaries that separate units which report directly and with other parts of the business. Monitors the flow of work between his/her unit and others in the organization; asking questions, and recommending improvements. Understands and conveys functional strategies, business strategies, and corporate mission. Fosters effective cross-functional collaborations to accelerate work processes.
  • Creates a supportive environment that allows mistakes but not failure (motivates and instructs; shares positive and negative feedback in a constructive manner).
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
