Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (B-Shift)Job DescriptionThis role supports a food production facility by troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving production equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, complemented by mechanical and basic controls support. The technician ensures reliable operation of PLC-controlled processing and packaging equipment, reduces unplanned downtime, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining strict compliance with GMP, HACCP, FDA, and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production equipment and assist with controls-related issues to maintain consistent and reliable operations.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment, including electrical panels, drives, and sensors, across voltage ranges from 24V to 480V.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on conveyors, motors, and other processing and packaging equipment to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability and extend asset life.
- Support line changeovers, equipment startups, shutdowns, and sanitation-related disassembly and reassembly to ensure efficient production transitions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities in the EAM system and track equipment history for future reference and analysis.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades to enhance performance, safety, and efficiency on the production floor.
- Collaborate closely with production operators and maintenance technicians across shifts to resolve issues quickly and share technical knowledge.
- Follow and uphold GMP, HACCP, FDA, and site safety standards in all maintenance activities to ensure a safe and compliant food production environment.
Essential Skills- Proven ability to troubleshoot PLC systems and support controls-related issues in a production environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience working with electrical panels, drives, and sensors.
- Hands-on experience with 24Vโ480V electrical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills for conveyors, motors, and processing or packaging equipment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics for diagnosing and repairing related equipment issues.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency using an EAM or computerized maintenance management system to document work and track equipment history.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and comply with GMP, HACCP, FDA, and general safety standards in a food or regulated environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in a food production or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Background in multi-craft maintenance, combining electrical, mechanical, and basic controls skills.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives and participation in equipment upgrade projects.

Work EnvironmentThis position operates on 2nd shift, typically from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, within a food production facility that runs processing and packaging lines. You will use tools and diagnostic equipment for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and perform maintenance tasks in accordance with GMP, HACCP, FDA, and safety requirements. The setting is a manufacturing floor with active machinery, where adherence to site safety practices, cleanliness, and appropriate work attire suitable for a food production environment is expected.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39.00 - $42.00/hr.
