Salesforce Architect

Location: Boston, MA (2-3 days per week Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the design, governance, integration, and technical direction of enterprise Salesforce solutions. This role requires strong Salesforce architecture expertise, hands-on technical leadership, integration knowledge, and experience delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable Salesforce architecture and solution designs.
  • Present solution options, recommendations, and design trade-offs to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, data governance, scalability, and performance standards.
  • Apply Salesforce Public Sector Solutions architecture and object-model best practices.
  • Provide architectural oversight across Salesforce modules, integrations, and connected enterprise systems.
  • Review technical designs, configurations, custom development, and proposed feature enhancements.
  • Evaluate Salesforce product releases and roadmap capabilities for future platform improvements.
Integration & Data Architecture
  • Design and optimize integrations between Salesforce, MuleSoft, and enterprise applications.
  • Define data flows, integration patterns, component interactions, and system dependencies.
  • Guide data modeling, master data management, synchronization, and data-quality strategies.
  • Guide REST API, SOAP API, and Bulk API implementations.
  • Assess the impact of architectural and integration changes across connected systems.
Technical Leadership & Governance
  • Lead and mentor Salesforce developers and technical team members.
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce architecture, coding, security, and development standards.
  • Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical quality assessments.
  • Ensure deliverables follow architectural standards and Salesforce best practices.
  • Support governance across the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, UAT, deployment, change management, and production support.
  • Identify architectural risks, technical gaps, and optimization opportunities.
DevOps & Continuous Improvement
  • Support Agile and DevOps methodologies across Salesforce delivery.
  • Work with Copado and CI/CD pipelines for controlled and reliable deployments.
  • Recommend improvements to Salesforce configurations, integrations, custom code, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform and integration technology advancements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise Salesforce solutions.
  • Salesforce certifications required.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, data architecture, security, and technical governance.
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Copado, CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps.
  • Strong technical leadership, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions.
