Description: 

  • Synergy is looking for a senior MuleSoft Developer with MuleSoft/Salesforce experience who can actively participate to deliver projects. As a senior MuleSoft developer, you will be working with Solution Architects and Developers to design, develop, and deploy large-scale enterprise solutions. As a key member of the team, you will contribute directly to impactful digital services transformation that empowers government agencies and civil servants to better service the people by delivering a best-in class user experience.

Essential Functions & Duties:

  • Self-starter; passion for solving challenges; who never stops learning and helps their team perform at its best. 
  • Must have experience in debugging and correcting errors. 
  • Work closely with product owners and managers to convert business requirements into agile epics and stories. 
  • Manage and keep product backlog up-to-date and ensure stories are elaborated before planning events. 
  • Work closely with SCRUM master to record ongoing changes to the user stories as they are being analyzed, designed, and implemented during the sprints. 
  • Experience with Interface Bus development platforms and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions i.e., MuleSoft ESB. 
  • Work closely with multiple teams to determine data dependencies and impacts on various components of the project. 
  • Verbal/written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. 
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
  • Strong ability to motivate and inspire people to do their best work. 

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:

  • Experience in Salesforce Service cloud, Salesforce communities required. 
  • Mule 4.0 experience using flows for integration with disparate systems and service components. 
  • Should work with internal team and System integrators from various companies. 
  • Should have Experience in maintaining existing APIs and creating new APIs and deploy them on sandbox/production environments. 
  • Experience with exception handling (synch and asynch). 
  • Experience on RAML design, schema validation.  Should have experience with Mule connections. 
  • Experience developing APIs using SOAP, REST/ HTTP Web services including XML/JSON. 
  • Well experienced with editing or writing DataWeave 2.0 codes.
  • Experienced with all MuleSoft API management features in both CloudHub and on-Prem environments.
  • Familiar with 3rd Party MuleSoft Anypoint Connector. 
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, API data feeds, ingestion techniques, data mapping, data modelling, dependency injection, abstract classes and interfaces, access specifiers, abstract classes and interfaces, synchronization and coding. 
  • Understanding of Java, multi-threading, and spring framework. Using Salesforce or similar CRM Products to develop client or business solutions. 
  • Experience with Salesforce change management.
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Resilience – dependable in the face of adversity and handle uncertainty and obstacles with grace and elegance. 
  • Working with customers and communicating on cross-team initiatives. 
  • Experience building effective partnerships with business owners and technical partners. 
  • Manage Salesforce users, profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules and security controls on Salesforce. 
  • Create and implement changes to applications, objects, fields, workflows, processes, flows, validation rules, approval processes, email alerts, advanced formulas, page layouts, record types and Lightning pages. 
  • Expertise with lightning flows, skill-based routing, queue-based routing, email-to-case, web-to-case and other advanced Salesforce platform features. 
  • Apply the appropriate standards, secure coding practices, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development lifecycle. 

Certifications & Technical Stack preferred

  • 6+ years of experience as a MuleSoft Developer/Architect preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with Scrum/agile methodologies preferred 
  • Certified MuleSoft Developer preferred 
  • Certified MuleSoft Architect preferred
  • Experience in Mule ESB development (3.7v & 3.8v, 4 is preferred) 
  • Experience with Salesforce Service cloud, Public Sector Foundation 
  • Strong understanding and experience with security implementations (SSL, oAuth, SAML) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design of integration solutions using API-led connectivity principles.
  • API & Integration Development: Build and maintain APIs, data transformations, and system integrations with MuleSoft.
  • Full API Development Life Cycle: Responsible for full software development life cycle (SDLC) of MuleSoft project using AGILE process.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure performance optimization.
  • Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Guide junior developers and work closely with cross-functional teams (architects, analysts, etc.).
  • CI/CD & Automation: Automate deployments and ensure smooth CI/CD processes.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and lead demos.
  • Production Support: Troubleshoot, resolve issues, and provide post-implementation support.
  • API management & Logging: Experience with all post deployment API management practices; and experience with third party logging systems like Splunk.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Develop & Implement: Write Mule flows, build APIs, and integrate systems using Anypoint Studio. Code Reviews & Testing: Review code for quality, implement tests, and optimize performance.
  • Technical Documentation: Document API specs, data mappings, and system architecture.
  • Collaboration & Mentoring: Work with team members in standups, reviews, and guide junior developers.
  • Deployment: Manage CI/CD pipelines and ensure successful deployments across environments.

Citizenship or Work Authorization Required: 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Government Position of Trust
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must pass a background investigation. 

Preferred Education & Experience: 

  • Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise.

Target Salary Range

Compensation for roles at Synergy is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the requirements of the role; level of experience; education and certifications; the individual’s combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities; as well as alignment with market data, federal and state laws, and other business and contract considerations. The estimated pay range for this position is: $133,000.00 – $190,000.00. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and represent just one component of Synergy’s total compensation package for employees.
