Job Description

The Decisions Developer is responsible for providing exceptional business process automation, delivering a strong end-user experience, including user interfacing, user flow, data flow, and other UI/UX strategies. This role emphasizes delivering new user experiences, enhancements, and modernization initiatives. The mission is to design, build, implement, and support user-centric process automation solutions, leveraging modern technology while ensuring security and scalability, aligned with our long-term technology roadmap, which requires both technical and systems knowledge.

The Decisions Developer will also manage, plan, organize, and control projects with organizational impact and provide day-to-day support for complex application systems.  Will work on a scrum team of highly talented professionals, primarily focusing on roadmap work on the Decisions process automation platform.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will design, develop, and implement workflow solutions using the Decisions platform.
  • You will plan, build, test, and deploy complex systems software and programs.
  • You will analyze current processes to improve efficiency and quality and deliver improvements to operational processes.
  • You will develop dynamic forms, business rules logic, integrations, and workflows.
  • You will perform unit and integration testing on complex projects and enhancements.
  • You will foster collaboration, speed, innovation, and encourage continuous learning and feedback.
  • You will mentor other analysts by providing oversight of projects or day-to-day support efforts.
  • You will perform deployment and release validation, monitoring, and reporting to ensure features perform as expected and identify any issues or opportunities regarding user experience or system performance.
  • You will work with business lines to identify, analyze, and implement core business processes and workflows to ensure accuracy and garner approval.
  • You will attend regular project meetings and provide feedback related to end-user impacts and best practices.
  • You may perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science or related field of study and/or 3-5 years of directly related experience in business process automation and project understanding. Single application data flows across multiple applications.

  • Proven experience in workflow development, preferably with the Decisions platform
  • Proficiency in SQL Queries
  • Software integration, system integration, and technology used
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development
  • Experience with Postman for testing/load-testing
  • Experience with ORM Frameworks.
  • Knowledge of tiered environments.
  • Knowledge of IT and IS standards and concepts, IT lifecycle Governance
  • Experience with application disaster recovery
  • Knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies (preferred)
  • Experience with Jira & Confluence for Agile story writing and feature documentation
  • Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
  • Solid conceptual thinking and analytical skills with the ability to provide resolution to problems of a moderate complexity.
  • Enjoy working in teams and across departments to achieve business objectives. Influence change by being flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse audiences
