 Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced MuleSoft Architect to design, develop, and oversee scalable API and integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform in the context of Azure cloud migration. This role requires hands-on architecture and implementation experience, deep understanding of MuleSoft internals, and strong leadership in cloud-native integration modernization.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Drive the migration of legacy integrations to Azure, ensuring performance, scalability, and reusability
  • Develop API-led connectivity strategies with reusable Experience, Process, and System APIs
  • Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and secure Mule applications
  • Define and govern standards around RAML/OAS specifications, API contracts, and versioning
  • Translate business requirements into detailed integration designs and documentation
  • Collaborate with Azure architects to design hybrid integration patterns
  • Develop custom MuleSoft connectors, transformers, and components as needed
  • Manage full lifecycle API development from design through deployment and monitoring
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for Mule deployments using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Set up Anypoint Runtime Fabric, VPCs, and secure API gateways
  • Lead code reviews, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for integration issues

Technical Skills โ€“ Required:

  • Expert-level knowledge of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Design Center, Runtime Manager, Exchange)
  • Strong hands-on skills in:
    • DataWeave (v2.0) scripting for transformation
    • Mule 4.x application development
    • RAML 1.0 / OpenAPI specification
    • MUnit for test automation
  • Experience integrating with:
    • Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB)
    • ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS)
    • CRM (Salesforce, MS Dynamics)
    • Message brokers (JMS, AMQP, Kafka, Azure Service Bus)
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Event-driven architecture
    • Asynchronous messaging
    • Error handling and retry logic
    • Batch processing and streaming
  • Experience in:
    • OAuth2, SAML, TLS, JWT, API security policies
    • Azure services : API Management (APIM), Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, Blob Storage
  • Familiarity with:
    • Anypoint Monitoring , Custom Dashboards, and Operational Insights
    • Runtime Fabric or Hybrid deployments (on-prem/cloud)
    • Postman , JMeter, or other testing tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect and/or Integration Architect
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Experience in financial/banking sector integration projects
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), SAFe, and DevOps practices

Soft Skills & Leadership:

  • Ability to lead technical teams, mentor developers, and drive architectural decisions
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for high-quality, scalable design
