Job description

Turbotec, a company of Mueller Industries located in Newton, NC, is actively hiring for the position of Maintenance Lead Technician.
At Turbotec, we engineer innovative, high-performance heat exchangers that power efficient heating and cooling solutions across geothermal, water heating, solar energy, heat recovery, and heat pump industries.
As a Maintenance Lead Technician, you will assist in many areas of the plant and production.

Maintenance Lead Technician Responsibilities and Job Expectations:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with lean/continuous improvement projects.
  • Install and inspect machinery on the manufacturing floor.
  • Install and inspect electrical equipment on the manufacturing floor.
  • Troubleshoot/repair machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Perform brazing, welding, and basic fabrication tasks.
  • Inspect in-process and finished products for quality compliance.
  • Use of standard tools to perform preventative maintenance on production machinery.
  • Versatilely use different forms of measurement and test equipment to ensure specification standards are met.
  • Ensure machinery is operated correctly to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 3-5 years' experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred
  • Good fine motor skills, hand dexterity
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift to 50-75 lbs.
