Location: Houston, TX

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mill Test Report (MTR) Specialist to join our Houston-based team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the steel industry and a strong understanding of MTRs, quality documentation, and ERP systems. This role ensures accurate documentation for customer orders, adherence to industry standards, and coordination with suppliers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review supplier MTRs for compliance before entering into the MTR system; communicate with vendors on discrepancies.
  • Accurately enter MTRs into software and scan/save supporting test reports.
  • Generate MTRs for customer orders in line with specific requirements and industry standards.
  • Create coating certificates for fastener and industrial coating orders.
  • Upload documentation to customer portals and respond to customer feedback as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on documentation issues.
  • Ensure timely delivery of required documentation.
  • Participate in SIGMA procedure training and adhere to SIGMA Quality Management and Safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Generate non-conformance reports and assist in creating Corrective and Preventive Action Reports.
  • Support additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and professional phone/email etiquette.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot independently.
