Job Description

As the Sr Director of Marketing Analytics and Data Science at ALSAC, you will be the driving force behind our marketing measurement strategies, optimizing marketing spend across various channels. You will lead a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts, ensuring our analytics capabilities inform effective marketing decisions across the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

Capability Ownership:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) models in a flexible build-or-buy hybrid scenario.
  • Align capabilities with business goals, driving data integrity, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Adapt to market trends and technological advancements to ensure robust marketing measurement.

Data-Driven Strategy:

  • Champion the use of MMM and MTA insights for annual budgeting, forecasting, and tactical investment decisions.
  • Partner with Development, Brand Marketing & Audience Strategy, Performance Marketing, and Finance to shape campaign strategies and assess financial impact.
  • Leverage data-driven insights for optimized campaign strategies.

Analytics Leadership:

  • Lead a team of 8-12 data scientists and analysts, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Stay ahead of industry best practices and emerging tools to maintain a cutting-edge analytics function.
  • Cultivate an environment that encourages growth and continuous enhancement of marketing analytics practices.

Testing and Experimentation:

  • Spearhead A/B testing and incrementality lift testing initiatives to optimize marketing tactics across digital, social, and traditional channels.
  • Ensure measurable ROI improvements through effective testing and optimization.

Reporting & Dashboards:

  • Develop real-time dashboards and reporting solutions to provide leadership and cross-functional teams with actionable insights.
  • Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, aligning analytics with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with Finance to assess the financial impact of marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or master's degree preferred in one of the following fields of study: Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in marketing analytics or data science, including 5+ years in a leadership role within a large matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing teams and budgets of $2M+ preferred.
  • Technical proficiency in building and/or procuring MMM solutions (required) and MTA solutions (preferred).
  • Advanced expertise in Google Analytics, SQL, Python, R, and familiarity with platforms like Nielsen, Neustar, or Tableau.
  • Strong track record of influencing senior executives and collaborating across functions to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Performs other various job functions as assigned.

Location: This position is Memphispreferred, though we welcome strong candidates from other U.S. locations.
