Senior Program Director

As a senior leader at Nasdaq, you will be accountable for shaping and delivering large-scale, enterprise transformation programs that advance our position as a global technology company powering markets and economies. This role requires the ability to translate complex business strategies into execution across Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs) and Tier 1 banking clients.

You'll thrive in this position if you bring executive presence, deep capital markets expertise, and the ability to mobilize global teams to deliver measurable impact across complex, highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead strategy and execution for large-scale, multi-year transformation programs, ensuring alignment with client business priorities and Nasdaq's global objectives.

  • Represent Nasdaq with senior client stakeholders, including C-suite leaders and steering committees, building trusted relationships and influencing key decisions.

  • Establish and maintain strong program governance frameworks, ensuring effective oversight of risk, financials, delivery, and reporting.

  • Drive operational excellence across program delivery, including scope, schedule, budget (20M+ annually), and quality management.

  • Lead complex transformation initiatives spanning technology modernization, operating model redesign, and regulatory-driven change.

  • Build and inspire high-performing, cross-functional teams across geographies, ensuring effective resource planning and delivery discipline.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive (20+ years) leadership experience in program management and transformation delivery within capital markets, banking, or financial market infrastructures.

  • Proven success leading large-scale, complex programs across Tier 1 banks or FMIs (e.g., exchanges, clearing houses, custodians, central banks).

  • Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders and build long-term partnerships.

  • Deep understanding of front-to-back capital markets operations, including trading, clearing, custody, and post-trade processing.

  • Demonstrated experience managing large program financials, including budget oversight, forecasting, and commercial governance.

  • Exceptional communication, governance, and stakeholder management capabilities in global, regulated environments.

  • Must be fluent in Spanish to communicate with clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or equivalent senior leadership training.

  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide technology implementations and data transformation initiatives.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, SAFe).

This position will be located in New York City, NY and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
