ZeroIn’s technical team requires both great technical acumen and the best soft skills and patience in the industry. Our Field Technician will have a variety of responsibilities from desktop support, onsite technical support, and network installations.
Responsibilities
- Client Support and Communication: Provide technical support to clients by responding to their inquiries, asking the right questions in basic non-technical terms to understand their issue, and resolving it.
- System Deployment and Configuration: Responsible for deploying and configuring various IT systems and infrastructure components, such as servers, networking devices, storage systems, and software applications.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Work closely with teammates, clients, or vendors to investigate the root cause of problems, diagnose hardware or software faults, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Security Management: Maintain the security of the IT systems. Apply security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls. Stay updated with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to proactively mitigate risks and ensure data protection.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of the IT systems, licenses, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, which helps in knowledge sharing and enables effective collaboration.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in desktop support
- Must be able to travel to the offices of our local clients in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, and the East Bay
- Must be available for after hours on-call rotation
- Proficient navigating and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and network configurations
- Familiar with navigating and troubleshooting Mac and iOS
- Office 365 or Google Workspace experience
- Demonstrated ability to own client issues from initial request through resolution, escalation, or successful handoff
- Experience working in a ticketing system
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
