About this position
The Ann Blanton Edwards School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Florida Southern College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. The required and preferred qualifications to teach in the MSN Program are described below.
Applicants interested in being considered should submit a letter of interest and a curriculum vitae with the completed employment application. Please specify your interest in teaching in a specific program (BSN, MSN, or DNP) in the letter of interest. Also include a list of courses you have taught at other institutions, if any, in your curriculum vitae or letter of interest with course numbers and complete course titles.
A curriculum vitae and a copy of unofficial academic transcripts must be provided with employment application materials; applicants must apply online. Candidate official transcripts must be on file within 3 days of the start of a teaching assignment. Please request official transcripts from all colleges and university work (showing the highest degree earned) and have them sent to the attention of Sharon Brown, School of Nursing, 111 Lake Hollingsworth Dr., Lakeland, Fl 33801.
Applicants who receive their degrees outside the U.S. must have their transcript (s) evaluated by an approved educational evaluation service. This evaluation must be done at your own expense before being considered for employment by Florida Southern College.
Note: Adjunct faculty members are appointed to teach on a semester-by-semester and course-by-course basis.

About our ideal candidate
Required qualifications to teach in the program is as follows:
Master of Science in Nursing: Online and/or On-Campus
Description: The Master of Science in Nursing Program offers multiple tracks including Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Administrative Leadership, and Nursing Education. Teaching opportunities include online and on-campus/live classes.
Ideal Candidate: The academic qualifications for adjunct teaching in the MSN Program include a master's or terminal degree in nursing and practice expertise in one or more areas pertinent to advanced nursing specialization (clinical practice, leadership/administration, or nursing education). Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is required. Advanced Practice licensure and certification in Florida may be required for specific courses in the nurse practitioner tracks.
Preferred qualifications: One year of online or live teaching experience in a graduate nursing program.
