Job description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Master of Special Inspection (MSI) in our Raleigh, NC office.
Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
  • Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
  • Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
  • Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
  • Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
  • Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:
  • 5+ years construction materials testing and inspection experience required
  • ICC Certifications are required:
    • Structural Welding
    • Structural Steel and Bolting
    • Structural Masonry
    • Reinforced Concrete
