Job description

Role: Tech System Administrator – Application Deployer
Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite from Day 1)
Job Type: W2 Contract
 
Experience Level: Senior (or) Lead
 
Must Have Skills (Mandatory):

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Utilize custom application deployment framework (EUPS) to deliver software releases, typically packaged as AppV, Numecent, or MSI.
  • Support the deployment of new or updated applications to a user base exceeding 100,000 and approximately 20,000 physical machines.
  • Contribute to over one million annual release upgrades, calculated as the total of users or machines multiplied by releases.
  • Collaborate within a small US-based team (up to two members), with additional colleagues located in Switzerland and India.
  • Execute global deployments of client's-packaged applications by adhering to established operating procedures.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on the application inventory through various audits and reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application deployment issues, managing tasks within the support queue.
  • Maintain availability during Swiss or UK business hours.
 
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in large-scale package/application deployment.
  • Strong awareness of time zones and global geographical considerations.
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies, especially client’s evolving in-house deployment solutions.
  • Solid understanding of application dependencies.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and triggers is a plus.
  • Proficient in MSI and AppV installation and assignment technologies.
  • Appreciation for the complexity and impact of large-scale operations.
