Job description

The Learning Center, Bonny Eagle High School's Alternative Education program is looking to fill the position of Science/Math Teacher. (primary responsibility will be Science) The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a team atmosphere in a school setting that is relationship based and extremely collaborative. The school's curriculum is centered on standards based courses allowing teachers flexibility in their instructional choices. The Learning Center has 3 Core Pillars for their students of "Try," "True" and "Be Civil," and has as a primary goal to develop the whole student for life after High School. The ideal candidate would have a dual Math/Science certification, however, only a Science certification is required. 
Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; Maine Department of Education certification with a Science endorsement; experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
