Position:  Educational Technician III - MTSS Behavior Interventionist (3 positions available)

Location:  To be determined

Date Position Available:  2026-2027 School Year

Qualifications: (023) Educational Technician III authorization and current CHRC authorization through State of Maine Department of Education.

Description:     MSAD 11 is searching for an Educational Technician III - MTSS Behavior Interventionist to provide elementary behavioral supports. This ed tech will provide instruction services and interventions in self-regulation, executive function, and social skills. The person will be trained in crisis de-escalation. Our goal is to develop calming and coping strategies with an identified small group of children. This position will provide behavioral consultation on a regular basis regarding students' behavioral needs and the accommodations and modifications necessary for the student to succeed in an academic setting. The ability to relate positively to student, parents and staff is essential in this position. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in child development, behavioral health and/or Positive Behavior support. Must be willing to take Safety Care training provided by MSAD 11. This candidate must be team focused and willing to collaborate with the Regular and Special Education teachers.
