Job description

Experienced Hardware & Industrial Supply Territory Sales Representative

Georgia Territory

Position: Outside Territory Sales Representative
Industry: Hardware / Industrial Supply
Territory: Georgia
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced, results-driven outside sales professional with a proven track record in the hardware, industrial supply, construction supply, or related B2B industry.

This is not an entry-level sales position. The ideal candidate will bring an established understanding of the Georgia market, strong industry relationships, and a history of consistently producing sales results.

We are looking for someone who knows how to sell, knows the market, and knows how to grow a territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow sales throughout the assigned Georgia territory.
  • Build strong relationships with hardware stores, industrial distributors, contractors, manufacturers, and other commercial customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and aggressively pursue qualified prospects.
  • Expand sales with existing customers through relationship development, product knowledge, and account penetration.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local market conditions, competitors, pricing, and customer needs.
  • Develop and manage a territory sales plan focused on measurable revenue and gross-profit growth.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain a strong field presence.
  • Present products and solutions effectively to purchasing managers, owners, contractors, and other decision-makers.
  • Monitor competitive activity and communicate market intelligence to management.
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and sales information in SalesForce CRM and company based software.
  • Consistently exceed established sales goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven outside sales experience in hardware, industrial supply, construction supply, building materials, MRO, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong knowledge of the Georgia hardware and industrial supply market.
  • Existing industry relationships and familiarity with key customer types throughout Georgia.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and grow existing business.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a territory independently.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to identify profitable opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.
  •

Proven Results Matter

We are looking for a salesperson who can demonstrate results—not simply describe responsibilities.

Qualified candidates should be prepared to discuss:

  • Previous sales performance and accomplishments
  • Sales growth achieved in prior territories
  • New accounts developed
  • Existing accounts successfully expanded
  • Experience selling against competitors
  • Knowledge of the Georgia market
  • Major customers and relationships developed
  • Examples of consistently exceeding sales targets

If you have a strong track record, we want to hear about it.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate is:

  • Competitive and driven
  • Highly knowledgeable about the industry
  • Well-connected within the Georgia market
  • A strong relationship builder
  • Comfortable hunting for new business
  • Accountable for measurable results
  • Professional and credible with customers
  • Organized and disciplined
  • Self-directed without requiring constant supervision

We are particularly interested in candidates who have already established credibility and relationships within Georgia’s hardware, industrial, construction, MRO, and distribution markets.

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, proven sales performance, market knowledge, and demonstrated ability to grow revenue.

Additional benefits may include:

  • Vehicle mileage allowance
  • Expense/travel reimbursement
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Company-provided technology and sales resources
