At SimonMed Imaging, the MRI Cardiac Monitoring Registered Nurse plays a critical clinical role in ensuring patient safety during MRI exams, particularly for pacemaker-dependent and cardiac patients. This role combines advanced cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and radiology support to ensure safe, seamless imaging experiences.

What You Bring

Advanced cardiac monitoring expertise: You interpret EKGs, identify arrhythmias, and monitor cardiac activity to ensure patient safety throughout MRI procedures.

You're a Strong Fit If You Have

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment required • Current BLS certification required • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (acute care, radiology, or outpatient setting preferred) • Experience with EKG monitoring and IV therapy required • Additional training in cardiac monitoring, radiology nursing, or IV therapy strongly preferred • Strong ability to interpret EKGs and cardiac rhythms • Knowledge of MRI safety protocols, especially for patients with implanted devices • Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress or emergency situations

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Onsite clinical imaging environment with frequent movement between patient care areas • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and hands-on patient care • Ability to assist and position patients, including those with limited mobility (up to 40 lbs with assistance) • Requires physical stamina, manual dexterity, and visual acuity for monitoring and documentation • Exposure to fast-paced outpatient clinical and radiology settings
