Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Supervisor MLS Technical Services for our Launcher Systems business unit.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out technical, supervisory, and administrative duties within a team of technicians and project engineers. This team provides aftermarket production and technical support for shipboard power generation and main propulsion systems on U.S. Naval Ships, as well as for other aftermarket programs.
What you'll get to do:
  • Coordinating shipping and handling of tools and materials for field service jobs.
  • Arranging for customer facility access, scheduling travel, and processing expense reports for field technicians.
  • Planning, prioritization, execution, and reporting on production activity and status.
  • Time entry and expense report approval of deployed mechanics.
  • Facilitate in-house repair/refurbishment of production components and assemblies.
  • Develop facility capabilities and work scope for field technicians when not on assignment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 3 years experience. (Note: An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Experience leading functional teams including coaching and mentoring, conflict resolution, team development, and employee engagement.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic production work environment.
  • Experience with MS Office products - PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Word.
  • Experience articulating and presenting risk management concepts.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government secret clearance.
  • US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or other technical field.
  • Experience with the fundamentals of MRP.
  • Experience with engineering drawings (GD&T), inspection methods, and technical procedures.
  • Minimum 5years' experience with production/handling of marine machinery or equivalent.

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $199,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
