Position overview
Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Family Medicine ranging from $237,500- $275,500. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The UC Irvine Department of Family Medicine anticipates openings for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Family Medicine, School of Medicine, at the University of California, Irvine. We are seeking qualified individuals who are excellent clinicians with a strong commitment to medical education. The position will be offered in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level. This position will be based at the Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care at UC Irvine in Irvine, CA.

DUTIES: The incumbent will participate in ambulatory patient care, fellow supervision, resident teaching, medical student precepting; perform university and public service and demonstrate professional competency and activity.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficiency in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Korean helpful.

REQUIREMENTS: M.D., D.O. or M.D./Ph.D./MPH. from an accredited institution with appropriate clinical training and experience. Have current or applied for California Medical License. Board-Certified in Family Medicine. Candidates must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable to the HS Clinical Professor series.

Positions are dependent upon funding. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support.
