THE ROLE

At Tangled Roots Brewing Company, the General Manager will oversee, direct, and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Recruit, Hire, Schedule, Train, and Manage Team Members in all departments.
  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the culture and values of Tangled Roots Brewing Company.
  • Lead and Mentor team members to understand and adhere to TRBC Culture and Values.
  • Empower the team through growth opportunities within the Company.
  • Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs and followed and completed on a timely basis.
  • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving and building maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Monitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
  • Follow TRBC General Manager Area of Responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

  • A high school diploma and at least 2+ years' experience in restaurant management.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of Hospitality Management Experience.
  • A strong customer service focus along with effective communication and time-management skills are necessary to be successful in this role.
  • A track record of process improvement, staff development, and efficient use of restaurantsystems are also strongly relevant to the role.
  • ServSafe Manager Food Handler, Allergen, and Basset certifications required within 30 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 - 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for the entirety of your scheduled shift.
  • Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
