Job description

Job Summary:

Certified Pipefitters Helper assists in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems by accurately positioning, aligning, and securing components. Responsibilities include measuring and marking pipe locations, transporting tools and materials, operating hand tools (as certified), and maintaining a clean, organized worksite. Must demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Requires OSHA 10 certification and possession of essential hand tools (e.g., tape measure, crescent wrench, torpedo level). The role involves frequent physical activity, exposure to outdoor conditions, and lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout.
  • Places and moves equipment and materials.
  • Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammer parts together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required).
  • Transports and furnishes the mechanic with materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.
  • Performs other routine duties.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules.
  • Ability to inspect tools.
