Job Title: Project Manager (Commercial and Institutional Construction)

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Salary: $105,000 – $125,000 annually (based on experience)

Our client is a well-established Edmonton general contractor delivering multi-family, commercial, institutional, light-industrial, and First Nations projects.

Manage diverse projects from ground-up construction to completion, as well as tenant improvements, across various contract types. You will be supported by a collaborative, fully structured operations team led by the VP, Operations, giving you the resources to deliver successful projects with confidence.


What You'll Do:

  • Manage commercial and institutional construction projects from pre-construction through close-out.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, schedules, procurement, resources, and risk plans.
  • Coordinate owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Lead contract administration, change management, progress reporting, and project documentation.
  • Serve as a key client contact while maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Operations and project team to deliver safe, high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.


What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of project management experience with a general contractor, delivering commercial or institutional projects.
  • Experience managing projects through all phases, from pre-construction to completion.
  • Strong working knowledge of budgets, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and change management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Procore and MS Project; PMP, Gold Seal, or similar certification is an asset.
