Who We Are

Our founder started on the trucks. Leadership here is earned through understanding the work. At 2 Brothers Moving & Delivery, we remove the fear from moving for Portland families and beyond. We're scaling, profitable, and looking for a leader who can run a branch, not just manage one.

The Role

This is a general management position. You own field execution, people development, revenue performance, and customer experience for a team of 25+ and growing. You work alongside crews in the field. You coach people up or move them out. You look at the numbers every week and know whether you're winning or losing.

The right person is a proven integrator. You take business systems and processes and make them more consistent, trainable, and reproducible. You build leaders from entry-level talent. You bring outside knowledge into the organization because standing still isn't in your nature. Moving industry experience is a plus but not required. We train the right candidate.

Reports to: CEO
Location: Portland, OR (NW Industrial District) - On-site, field work required
Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000/year + benefits + performance bonuses

What You Own
  • Field Execution & Quality (30%) - Crew performance standards, daily spot inspections, safety and DOT compliance, fleet oversight, damage prevention. This is where the brand lives or dies.
  • People Development & Accountability (25%) - Hiring, onboarding, training systems, performance management. You build a crew lead pipeline and develop leaders who carry the standard without you standing over them.
  • Revenue & Customer Experience (20%) - Revenue outcomes and customer satisfaction. Operational excellence that turns first-time clients into raving fans and repeat customers.
  • Systems & Org Development (15%) - Repeatable processes that scale without depending on any one person. Strategic input to the leadership team. Quarterly reporting on departmental progress.
  • Culture Leadership (10%) - Set the example. Build an environment that top performers want to stay in and customers notice immediately.
Goal Posts
  1. Grow gross profit margin to 50%+ within 18 months
  2. Drive staff utilization above 85% through scheduling and capacity optimization
  3. Achieve a 5-star review ratio above 40% with less than 1% negative reviews
  4. Reduce damage claims below 4% through field training and quality systems
  5. New hire time to competency at 90 days or less
  6. Build a leadership pipeline where 75%+ of crew lead and driver roles are filled through internal promotion
  7. Implement formal quality and safety programs that produce measurable results in fleet safety, item care, and injury prevention
Who You Are
  • A proven integrator who takes systems and makes them more consistent, trainable, and held to high standards
  • You own the outcome, not just the task. When something breaks, you don't point fingers. You fix it, figure out why, and make sure it doesn't happen again.
  • You coach in the field, not just from a desk. You know the work because you do the work.
  • An assertive people leader with a track record of developing entry-level staff into high performers
  • You think like an owner. Revenue, profit, customer experience, team culture. If it touches the operation, it's yours.
  • Always learning, always improving, always bringing something new to the table
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Benefits
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Chiropractic & Massage for you and your family
  • Paid vacation, sick time, personal time, parental leave
  • Tuition reimbursement for approved courses
  • On-site gym access
  • Leadership retreats and professional development
  • Career growth toward regional leadership as we scale to multiple locations

Candidates who advance to the phone screen stage will receive a detailed job description with specific KPIs, performance standards, and measurables for the role.

2 Brothers Moving & Delivery is an equal opportunity employer.
