Position Purpose
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Logistics Manager. The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end transportation and distribution of bulk liquid sulfuric acid and potassium hydroxide products across trucking, rail, and barge modes. NEXPERA ships 2 million tons per year of products to customers exceeding 30,000 truck shipments, 7,500 rail shipments, and 800 barge movements. This role ensures safe, compliant, efficient, and cost effective movement of materials while leading day to day operations, carrier management, and strategic logistics optimization. The manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, third party carriers, terminals, customers, and suppliers to maintain service levels and support business growth and flexibility.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in bulk liquids or hazardous materials.
- Experience managing truck and/or rail operations.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (DOT/FMCSA, FRA, USCG, PHMSA, EPA).
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Solid expertise using Microsoft Office and SAP S/4 HANA applications
- Experience with rail fleet management (leased or owned).
- Background in chemicals, petroleum, agriculture, or other bulk liquid industries.
- Proficiency with TMS systems, rail tracking platforms, and ERP tools.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification.
- Must be willing to travel.
