Experienced Professional Mover - Residential

West Side Movers | W-2 Position | New York City

West Side Movers is a family-owned residential moving company founded in 1972 on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. For more than five decades, we have built our reputation on professionalism, quality and care inside New York City’s most refined residential buildings.

We are not a high-volume, rush-based moving company. Our team members are polished, experienced professionals who take pride in their craft and represent the company with confidence in front of clients, real estate professionals, and building management.

We are currently hiring experienced movers and drivers to join our residential team.

Position Overview

This is a W-2 employee position through payroll.

We are seeking professionals with strong NYC building experience who understand floor protection, elevator protocol, client interaction, and detailed furniture handling.

All crew members are part of one cohesive team. Leadership is earned internally.

Compensation

Experienced Moving Specialist (Helper level)
$18 - $24 per hour
Minimum 2+ years professional moving experience required

Driver / Moving Specialist
$22 - $26 per hour
Minimum 4+ years professional moving experience required
Clean driver’s license required
Drivers receive additional paid time for travel

Overtime paid according to law
All tips fully retained by the crew

3 to 5 days per week depending on season
Full weeks common during summer and end-of-month cycles
Weekend work optional

What We Look For

• Minimum 2+ years professional moving experience (4+ years for drivers)
• Experience working inside NYC residential buildings
• Knowledge of packing boxes, furniture wrapping, staging and various techniques
• Professional appearance and communication
• Calm, respectful interaction with clients and building staff
• Reliability and pride in workmanship

This is not a general labor position. We are looking for professionals who understand discretion, presentation, and care.
