Caring Transitions (Northern IL) is looking for a Senior Move Manager to join our team. The Senior Move Manager is responsible for 1) developing and guiding senior (60+) clients through a move process and 2) collaborating effectively with service providers and team members to coordinate logistics and 3) execute moves with excellence in service & communication.
He/she will be self-motivated and possesses strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport with clients and team members. The overall goal of this position is to lead exemplary client service through a move.
This is a GREAT 2nd career! It also works well for those transitioning back into the workforce after some time away. Our team is diverse from former executives, educators, operations and retail experienced employees. All of us are motivated to help make seniors life a little easier.
Caring Transitions has earned an amazing reputation and is rapidly growing to meet this underserved need in the market.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive move plan for client.
  • Create customized floor plans for the new space to help clients visualize where their belongings will fit.
  • Coordinate professional packing, shipping, and storage of belongings.
  • Assist clients in sorting through and organizing decades of belongings.
  • Provide emotional support throughout the move process.
  • Oversee unpacking, and the setting up of the new home.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience client services
  • Physically can lift 25lb or less items, work on feet for 4-6 hours a day
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Patience in communicating with seniors
  • Computer skills- email, design software (can learn on job)
  • Must have reliable transportation as locations vary weekly.

Experiences:
  • We are open to a variety of backgrounds- move management, retail, container store service provider, etc.

This role is part-time and has the potential to move to full-time
Salary: $19-23/hr
