To prepare, job seekers should be comfortable with outdoor work, willing to learn new skills, and ready to collaborate closely with a small, tight-knit team. Building resilience and self-sufficiency is key, as is a willingness to adapt to the unexpected.

What is a mountain ranch?

A mountain ranch is a property located in a mountainous region that is typically used for raising livestock, such as cattle or horses, and may also offer agricultural production or recreational opportunities. These ranches often combine traditional ranching activities with outdoor experiences like hunting, fishing, horseback riding, or eco-tourism. The unique terrain and elevation of mountain ranches can influence the types of animals raised, crops grown, and the overall management of the land.
