Job description

Job Title: Materials Planner Location: Sunnyvale, California Type: 12 month contract Compensation: $90-100/hour, depending on qualifications Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite Hours: 40.0

Overview Support material planning, MRP stability, and ECO cutovers by coordinating supply, demand, and material master data across manufacturing operations while driving inventory accuracy, planning alignment, and material availability.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ECO releases, material planning, and cutovers to reduce E&O risk and support production schedules.
  • Audit and maintain Material Master, yield, scrap, and SAP PPDS/MDG configuration through ERP change processes.
  • Monitor MRP stability, perform weekly MRP reviews, allocate shared components, and run material availability simulations.
  • Coordinate material planning for new materials, part revisions, SIOP scenarios, and APM management across business units.
  • Identify root causes affecting inventory health and implement corrective actions for material planning exceptions.

Requirements

  • Experience with MRP and SAP software.
  • Understanding of change control processes.
  • Strong forecasting and analytics skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a progressive manufacturing environment.
  • Four-year degree preferred in Business Management, Logistics, or Engineering; APICS and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
