About the facility:
Founded in 1918, New London Hospital is a not-for-profit critical access hospital serving 15 communities within the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region in central New Hampshire, providing primary care and specialized clinical services in a patient and family-centered environment. As a partner of the Dartmouth Health Network, NLH is able to bring health care experts into the community both in New London and at our Newport Health Center (NHC) so residents are not required to travel away from their home community to seek academic-level care. NLH currently offers nearly 20 specialty services with over 60% of providers dual-credentialed at both NLH and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). Nestled in the town of New London in the shadow of Mt. Kearsarge, NLH sits 30 miles north of Concord and 30 miles south of Hanover off I-89. For more than two centuries, New Hampshire's Lake Sunapee Region is considered the ideal New England destination for travelers and locals. With a fantastic mix of shops, services, restaurants and entertainment, the area offers a relaxed lifestyle and boasts a wide variety of activities during all four seasons. The streets and greens of these neighboring communities come alive during the summer months with festivals, farmers markets, concerts, fairs and parades. Since 1934, The New London Barn Playhouse opens its doors annually during the summer hosting a variety of plays and musicals to sellout crowds nightly. Nearby lakes serve as the ideal playgrounds for water enthusiasts of all ages while local mountains, such as Mount Sunapee and Ragged Mountain satisfy the winter adventures with breathtaking views. Of course, the autumn months never disappoint the foliage seekers. NLH is grateful to be a part of this special area and for 100 years it's been NLH's mission to provide quality patient-centered care for the people of our region.
