In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Sonographer performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality. Performs US imaging to support Inpatient units and the Emergency department. Must be able to work independently and efficiently to manage Emergency Department workflow.

Responsibilities   

  • Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care
  • Ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program
  • Registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Registry eligible, with specialties in abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, and other appropriate areas.
