Job description

Schedule:  This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire position. Normal hours of work are Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required, including some weekends.


 Swing Shift – 3:00PM-11:30pm


The machine operator position sets up, controls, and maintains rotational molding machines and accessories. Operator will perform preliminary post-production work on molded parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets up and breaks down molds, machines, and work area to start production cycle
  • Measures and feeds plastic resin into molds
  • Inspects finished product and removal of excess flashing
  • Resolves/repairs production related issues
  • Ensures machines are functioning properly
  • Keeps records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintains activity logs
  • Adheres to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear/PPE)
  • Adheres to company standards for shop-wide housekeeping practices

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odors and/or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be elevated.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
