Tenet Healthcare and Detroit Medical Center are seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an established group serving one of Michigan's most recognized health systems. You'll practice across a dynamic multi-hospital network - including a Level I Trauma Center - where complex cases and strong collegial support define the daily experience. This is a full-time employed position with the Detroit Medical Group/Tenet Physician Resources, backed by the infrastructure and resources of a major health system.
Position Highlights
  • Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery - full-time employed position
  • Primary Site: Sinai Grace Hospital, with additional coverage at Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital (Adult Central Campus)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; outpatient clinic 1-2 days per week with OR time driven by caseload and ER consults
  • Call: Weekends and holidays shared with a group of two CT surgeons, including Level I Trauma Thoracic coverage
  • Inpatient Rounding: Required, including ICU units
  • Support Staff: 2 CT Surgical PAs available to assist with rounding and call
  • Practice Setting: Award-winning multi-hospital system with Level I and II Trauma Centers, tertiary adult and pediatric referral centers, and community hospitals
  • Logistics: All DMC facilities offer easy access and free parking

Candidate Requirements
  • Board certified or board eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Active Michigan medical license, or willingness to obtain
