About the Role:
Exceptional Pediatric Therapy LLC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Houston, TX! In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside experienced therapists to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families every single day.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients targeting fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment notes and goal tracking in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with OTs, parents, caregivers, and school personnel to support each child's development
  • Utilize evidence-based, play-based therapeutic techniques to engage pediatric clients
  • Participate in team meetings, family education sessions, and interdisciplinary care planning
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and child-friendly therapy environment
Requirements:
  • Active COTA licensure in the state of Texas (required)
  • Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current NBCOT certification in good standing
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and ADL training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a child-centered approach
