Director of Rehabilitation, DORPrestige Care Center of FairfieldPosition Overview

Prestige Care Center of Fairfield is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead and oversee our in-house rehabilitation program. This is an excellent opportunity for a rehabilitation professional who enjoys leadership, clinical coordination, team development, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and residents.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department.

  • Provide leadership and support to therapy staff, including PT, PTA, OT, COTA, and SLP team members.

  • Coordinate therapy services to ensure quality, efficient, and patient-centered care.

  • Monitor clinical outcomes, productivity, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with nursing, administration, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.

  • Assist with staff recruitment, orientation, training, and performance management.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, residents, families, and facility staff.

  • Ensure therapy services are delivered in accordance with applicable professional standards and facility policies.

  • Support census growth and the overall success of the rehabilitation program.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely completion of required reports.

  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional rehabilitation environment.

Qualifications
  • Current professional license or certification appropriate to the candidate's therapy discipline.

  • Previous rehabilitation leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.

  • Strong clinical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care.
