Position Summary:  

The Springs Living is seeking an Art Director responsible for leading the creative direction and execution of visual communications across corporate marketing initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications, this role oversees the management and integrity of brand standards, ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality creative assets across print and digital channels, and manages a small in-house creative team as well as external creative vendors when needed for scale. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of experience in a corporate or agency environment, a strong design sensibility, and the leadership skills to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. **Please provide links to your portfolio and/or relevant work samples with your application to be considered for the position.

Key Responsibilities: 

Creative Direction & Brand Stewardship

  • Define and maintain the visual identity and brand standards across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and internal communications
  • Develop and launch new brand identities for ancillary and strategic partner businesses and product offerings, and manage corporate brand architecture  
  • Develop creative concepts and visual strategies that align with business objectives, campaign goals, and audience insights
  • Review and approve all creative outputs from direct reports and freelancer contractors to ensure brand consistency and quality
  • Partner with the VP of Marketing & Communications and cross-functional stakeholders to translate briefs into compelling creative solutions

Team Leadership & Management

  • Directly manage a Graphic Designer and Multimedia Producer, providing mentorship, creative direction, and performance feedback
  • Assign and prioritize work across the team based on project needs, capacity, and individual strengths
  • Foster a collaborative, feedback-rich creative culture that encourages experimentation and continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and participate in annual performance review processes

Freelancer & Vendor Management

  • Source, onboard, and manage freelance designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative specialists as project needs dictate
  • Brief freelancers clearly, manage project timelines and deliverables, and ensure outputs meet brand and quality standards
  • Maintain an up-to-date roster of trusted creative vendors and negotiate project rates and agreements

Project & Production Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end creative production process, from concepting through final delivery, across print, fabrication, digital, video, and experiential formats
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing competing priorities while meeting deadlines and budget requirements
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and file management systems for efficient team workflows.
  • Track and report on creative project status to the VP of Marketing and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

Required

  • 4+ years of professional experience in art direction, brand identity creation, graphic design, or a related creative discipline within a corporate or agency environment
  • Proven ability to manage and develop creative team members and freelancers
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro or After Effects)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative work including brand development, digital, print, and video/motion projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative rationale to both creative and non-creative stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and ability to balance creative vision with practical business constraints

Preferred

  • Experience in B2B or enterprise marketing environments
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of motion graphics, video production workflows, or web/UX design principles
  • Experience presenting creative work to senior leadership
