Job description

Graphic Designer

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

Execute the creation of trend-forward graphic applications that elevate the brand and resonates with the consumers. This role translates creative concepts into compelling graphic collections that reflect our brand's identity and resonate with athletes and consumers alike.  Additionally this function supports and maintains identity work across football and dugout teams and partners.

  • Develop creative solutions for assigned categories or projects
  • Implement seasonal design direction and brand language into product ranges
  • Create 2D and 3D tech packs including sketches, fabric/trim specs, and artwork
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Development, and Materials teams
  • Apply insights to inform design decisions and/or future collections
  • Present product ideas and design details with clarity
  • Visualize concepts through mood boards, renderings, and digital assets
  • Conduct market and trend research to inform seasonal direction and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, cost targets and timelines
  • Ensure brand consistency while pushing boundaries in silhouette, material, and graphic application
  • Partner in identity design, development, and strategy

  • Design, Product Marketing, Brand Comms, Development, Creative Direction, Innovation, Creation Center Portland, Originals (LA), NCAA partners, Sports Marketing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers,

clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to influence & collaborate with key business partners
  • Ability to project manage and meet key deadlines
  • Ability to travel both domestically & internationally as needed, up to 25%.

    • 3D modeling software for realizing concepts a plus (CLO3D, Gravity Sketch, Blender)

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in [e.g., sportswear, lifestyle, luxury]
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design innovation, technical skill, and brand alignment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools
  • Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Passion for design and a deep understanding of the adidas brand
