The Hartford HealthCare Multimedia Design Specialist is a creative storyteller responsible for bringing ideas to life through design, video, and visual communication across multimedia platforms. This role creates meaningful, engaging content that supports Hartford HealthCare's brand and helps audiences better understand the care we provide. From graphic design and motion graphics to digital, social, print, and environmental content, the position plays a key role in developing visuals that inform, inspire, and connect with consumers. The Specialist manages projects from concept through final production, supports video and post-production needs, partners closely with internal teams and external vendors, and helps ensure all materials align with brand standards and maintain a consistent visual identity across the system.
Multimedia/Multi-Platform Design
  • Create compelling visual content for multimedia platforms - electronic, digital, social, event/outdoor and print.
  • Develop motion graphics and video elements and support video production needs.
  • Ensure visuals align with the Hartford HealthCare brand and maintain our consistent look and feel.
Content Production & Workflow Execution
  • Manage projects from initial concept through final production.
  • Support image/video creation through photo/video shoots, then contribute to editing and postproduction.
  • Organize and maintain digital assets to keep projects running smoothly.
Brand Management & Standards
  • Help shape, maintain, and evolve brand guidelines and templates.
  • Make sure all materials across the system reflect our brand accurately and consistently.
Collaboration & Cross Functional Support
  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications, Digital, and service line teams.
  • Partner with photographers, videographers, and external creative vendors to bring concepts to life.
Technology, Tools & Systems
  • Use advanced Adobe Creative Suite and other multimedia tools to produce high quality work.
  • Support the upkeep of Apple based creative systems and tools.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia design, visual arts, marketing, communications, or a related field required
Experience:
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in graphic and/or multimedia design.
