Job description

The Associate Graphic Designer works with the Graphic Designer or Art Director to create a strong conceptual framework and cohesive overall design for each catalog and landsend.com through designing, developing, and producing selling concepts and layouts.

  • Assist in the creation of visual assets for digital and print media, including social media graphics, website banners, email templates, catalogs, and advertisements to drive profitable sales growth and position landsend.com to be a leader

  • Support the design team in maintaining brand consistency across all visual communications.
  • Assist in the development of logos, brand assets, and style guides for new and existing projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to ensure all designs align with the brand's voice and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Works directly with copywriters, production specialists, and other art directors in a team environment to support catalog development
  • Assists in Developing and refining design concepts based on creative briefs and brand guidelines.
  • Helps plan and organize photography needs, both on-figure and off-figure (need to confirm)
  • Partners with the Marketing and Merchandising teams in order to fully support business via catalog and digital sales
  • Assists Creative Manager and Creative Director with other projects as needed
  • Contributes to the evolution of the Lands’ End brand

  • Must follow all safe work practices, escalate unsafe conditions and report incidents.
  • Prepare and package files for print and digital distribution, ensuring accuracy and quality. ( need to confirm)

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
  • Organize and maintain design files, assets, and resources in an orderly manner.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design principles.
  • Basic knowledge of web design, UX/UI principles, and motion graphics is a plus.
  • Understands the brand and can articulate the brand message via appropriate design solutions
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, meeting day-to-day needs/changes in order to deliver measurable financial results
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe In Design or other design software
  • Ability to adhere to Lands’ End Attendance expectations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphics Design, Visual Arts, or in a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of art direction, photo direction and graphic design experience or recent graduates with relevant internships or coursework.
