Job Description:
At Lower, we're on a mission to help people achieve their dreams of homeownership. We're looking for a creative, driven Videographer & Content Editor Intern to help bring our story to life through engaging video content. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience creating content for a fast-growing fintech company while working closely with our executive leadership and marketing team.
In this role, you'll help capture, produce, and distribute video content featuring our CEO, employees, and brand. From educational YouTube videos to behind-the-scenes moments and viral short-form content, you'll play a key role in Lower's presence across social media platforms.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student or early-career creative looking to build a professional portfolio while executing modern content creation strategies in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Film high-quality video content featuring Lower leadership, including our CEO, and employees for marketing campaigns, educational content, company initiatives, and social media.
  • Edit long-form content for YouTube, podcasts, interviews, testimonials, and promotional videos.
  • Create engaging short-form content optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
  • Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form assets that maximize reach and engagement.
  • Assist with pre-production planning, including brainstorming concepts, scripting, shot lists, and content calendars.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes footage at company events, office activities, customer stories, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Incorporate graphics, captions, motion elements, music, and branding to produce polished, platform-ready content.
  • Utilize AI-powered editing and production tools to improve editing speed, content ideation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to continuously improve content quality and performance.
  • Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, editing techniques, and best practices to help Lower create compelling content.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience shooting and editing video content through coursework, internships, freelance work, or personal projects.
  • Proficiency with cameras, production, basic lighting and audio equipment.
  • Experience with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted editing platforms such as Descript, Opus Clip, Adobe Firefly, Runway, or similar technologies.
  • Working Knowledge of long-form and short-form social content strategies.
  • Foundational understanding of content creation best practices for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of framing, lighting, storytelling, pacing, and audio quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be based in the Columbus, OH area and available to film on-site as needed.
