About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled, volume-driven Performance Graphic Designer who is experienced with layout design and typography and is fluent in generative AI. In this role, you will own the creative production of paid digital ads across Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram), transforming marketing hypotheses into high-impact visual assets. You will use cutting-edge Generative AI platforms as a core medium to rapidly generate refined, high-quality content. Partnering closely with our Creative Strategist, you will use performance insights to iterate, experiment, and build an impressive variety of direct-response campaign designs intended to convert. You won't just use AI tools - you'll be our resident expert on them. You'll watch what's emerging, bring recommendations to the team, and help us stay ahead of what's possible
What You'll Do (Responsibilities include but are not limited to)
  • High-Volume Direct-Response Production: Design and deliver a massive variety of static and short-form motion ads optimized specifically for Meta placements.
  • Translate & Execute Creative Briefs: Seamlessly translate high-level creative briefs into high-quality, production-ready outputs using Midjourney, Nano Banana Pro, or Adobe Firefly.
  • AI Pipeline Integration: Incorporate AI tools into your daily design pipeline to accelerate asset concepting, resizing, and layout experimentation.
  • Refine and Iterate: Manually refine and iterate on AI-generated assets to meet strict design and brand specifications, fixing anomalies and perfecting composition.
  • Asset & Visualization Generation: Generate realistic textures, mockups, and product visualizations aligned to strict brand standards.
  • Master Layout & Typography: Apply expert graphic design fundamentals to manually set typography, build clear visual hierarchies, and craft thumb-stopping ad layouts in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Partner with Creative Strategy: Collaborate directly with our Creative Strategist to translate audience hooks and performance data into fresh visual concepts. You don't need to crunch the numbers, but you must know how to use them to inform your design iterations.

What We're Looking For (Requirements and Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Core Foundation: A solid foundation of 5+ years of graphic design experience with a strong command of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Advanced Prompting: Proven ability to construct complex prompts that yield consistent, repeatable visual aesthetics, ensuring control over the AI's output.
  • Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Figma for layout, and Adobe Creative Suite for advanced digital editing and compositing.
  • The "Experimental Brain": A designer who loves a fast-paced environment, understands that a high volume of visual hooks is needed to succeed, and thrives on testing different creative styles.
  • Fluency in what makes paid social creative work: hooks, formats, platform conventions, and what drives meaningful iteration
  • Portfolio Requirement: A strong portfolio showing original work side-by-side with AI-augmented concepts, demonstrating a flawless eye for detail, color, composition, and layout.
  • An appreciation for lifestyle brands, footwear, or fashion - understanding the aesthetics of the space matters here.
  • Portfolio of paid social work (static and motion) that demonstrates both craft and a performance orientation.

Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
