Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Purpose of Position: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments. Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. As needed, perform audits of facility security and utility services, repair and/or communicates issues. Maintain/issue and complete work orders, receive and make calls to outside suppliers of both replacement parts and technical services.

Position Description:

  • Maintain safe and clean work area.
  • Diversified work to include installation, maintenance, and repair on a wide variety of machine tools, attachments and auxiliaries.
  • Diagnose, disassemble, repair or replace parts, reassemble, align and adjust.
  • Make parts (replacement) such as small shafts, pins, bushings, etc.
  • Simple Mig and Tig cutting and welding - may be asked to complete assessment testing prior to hire
  • Perform necessary work including analytical troubleshooting and maintenance functions.
  • Install and maintain a variety of electrical equipment such as motors, power and light circuits, starters and circuit breakers, diagnose electrical circuits, including solid state controls.
  • Diagnose and repair computer equipped controllers for manufacturing equipment.
  • May also make minor building repairs.
  • Must be able to use shop mathematics, charts, tables and handbook formulas.
  • Must be able to work from complex drawings, wiring diagrams and sketches.
  • Use a wide variety of measuring instruments with a prior knowledge of the operation of machine tools, methods, and materials.
  • Operate preventive maintenance system to log maintenance activities, evaluate machine maintenance history and analyze PM effectiveness.
  • Must be willing to advance through continued training and education.
  • Willingness to promote and adhere to the 6s initiatives.
  • Electrical knowledge/skills or required from either existing knowledge or willingness to obtain training
  • Promote team concept and train new employees.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant ISO 9001 QOP's and API 671 guidelines.
  • Perform any other related duties as directed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable with heights.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must pass on-site requirements to operate equipment
  • Must be able to frequently use hand tools and other equipment in routine performance of job
