Job description

Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, your primary responsibility is to ensure that our assembled electronic products meet both internal and industry standards. This includes the inspection of incoming goods at the component level, electronic printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and mechanical assemblies. You will be expected to capture quality data, submit inspection reports, and review the assembly stages while preparing non-conformance reports when necessary.
Required Key Duties:
  • Conduct inspections of electronics against drawings, bill of materials, and datasheets.
  • Collaborate with the assembly team to address quality control issues and improve overall product quality.
  • Document inspection results meticulously by completing reports and logs.
  • Collect yield and defect data into our quality database.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard the product through the entire process, implementing best handling practices.
  • Assist with product containment in the event of a non-conformance.
  • Flexibility to engage in multiple inspection toll gates as required.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must have previous work experience in an Electronics Quality Inspection role.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, procedures, drawings, schematics, and data-sheets.
  • Excellent vision, with the capability to distinguish color codes, component markings, and polarity markings, using close vision (within 10-20 inches).
  • Knowledge in IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001; the qualified candidate will be trained if not already certified.
  • Understanding of electronic components and electronic assembly processes.
  • Proficient with tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, shims, and pin gauges.
  • Computer literate with minimum entry-level to mid-level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Required Education:
  • Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent.

Other Requirements:
  • Will occasionally/frequently: stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull to 25 lbs.
  • This is a full-time position located at our Camarillo facility, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
  • Overtime is required including starting early, staying late, and working weekends.
  • We are ITAR Registered (International-Traffic-In-Arms-Regulations). Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
