Mosquito Shield is hiring an outdoor technician to join our team for the remainder of the mosquito and tick season.
This role is a good fit for someone who likes working independently, staying active, and working outdoors.
About the Role
Technicians complete outdoor pest control treatments at residential properties.
Most days you'll follow a defined route and repeat a consistent set of tasks, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and compliance.
What to Expect
- Carrying and wearing heavy backpack equipment for extended periods
- Walking properties with uneven terrain, landscaping, hills and stairs
- Repetitive, detail-oriented work that requires focus
- Working independently with most of the day
This is physically demanding work. Success in this role requires stamina, attention to detail, and consistency day after day - including in heat and humidity.

Training & Certification
All technicians must become certified before running routes.
Training and support are provided. Technicians are expected to:
- Study for and pass required state certification exams
- Apply products safely and according to regulations
- Follow property-specific application notes
Certification milestones are rewarded as part of the role.
Pay & Progression
- Paid training starts at $18/hour
- Technicians earn to $22-$25/hour based on performance
- Certification bonuses
