Job description

LFCU is currently seeking a Mortgage Quality Control Analyst. Employees in this position complete full quality reviews of residential mortgage loans to measure and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of processes. The candidate must possess extensive experience in the mortgage industry with knowledge of mortgage regulation and documentation. The ideal candidate will have held previous positions in either quality control, auditing or underwriting in a mortgage department or mortgage company. This position will be stationed at 4405 Theater Drive, Evansville, IN.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Keep current on all agency, and private investor guidelines, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
  • Perform post-closing quality control reviews on conventional and government loans originated for sale to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHLBI, VA, FHA, USDA and private investors to ensure compliance with investor guidelines, Agency guidelines and requirements, and Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations.
  • Perform pre-funding quality control reviews of loan applications to check compliance with lending policies.
  • Perform a reconciliation of MERS data on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor the quality control services of third-party vendors.
  • Facilitate external audits by mortgage investors.
  • Prepare reports to management of findings explaining errors and citing appropriate defects that do not align with internal policies, investor guidelines, compliance or applicable regulations.
