About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Mortgage Recruiter to identify and attract Loan Officers at different stages of their careers, from growth-oriented producers to established originators, production teams, and branch leaders.

This individual will play a critical role in the continued growth of First Savings Mortgage by building relationships with mortgage professionals, developing a strong recruiting pipeline, and helping qualified candidates understand the opportunities available within our organization.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, strong credibility with mortgage professionals, and demonstrated success recruiting Loan Officers or building business relationships within mortgage banking. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen an established companyโ€™s recruiting capabilities while helping shape resources, strategies, and relationships that support future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to identify, attract, and recruit Loan Officers at different stages of their careers, from growth-oriented producers to established originators, production teams, and branch leaders.
  • Source, engage, and cultivate relationships with active and passive mortgage professionals across current and prospective markets.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, referrals, social media, recruiting platforms, industry relationships, and events.
  • Conduct candidate outreach, initial screening, qualification, and interview coordination.
  • Learn each candidateโ€™s business goals, career priorities, and current challenges to help determine alignment with First Savings Mortgage.
  • Partner closely with Sales Leadership to understand recruiting priorities, market opportunities, growth objectives, and candidate fit.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other internal teams to develop recruiting resources, outreach strategies, nurture communications, and consistent messaging about First Savings Mortgage.
  • Manage the recruitment lifecycle from prospecting and relationship development through offer coordination, acceptance, and onboarding support.
  • Help coordinate a strong new-hire experience by connecting recruited Loan Officers and teams with the appropriate leadership, operational, marketing, and business resources.
  • Track and report recruiting activity, pipeline development, candidate engagement, conversions, hires, and other agreed-upon performance metrics.
  • Build long-term relationships with candidates and industry professionals to support ongoing recruiting, market expansion, and organizational growth.
  • Contribute ideas and insight as First Savings Mortgage continues developing its recruiting capabilities and long-term growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of mortgage industry experience, including direct experience recruiting Loan Officers, production teams, or branch leaders. Additional experience in mortgage sales, sales leadership, or business development is highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of mortgage banking, Loan Officer business models, branch operations, compensation structures, and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and long-term relationships with Loan Officers and other mortgage professionals.
  • Proven success recruiting mortgage professionals, developing industry relationships, or supporting sales growth within the mortgage industry.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates and conducting proactive outreach and recruiting campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, listening, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to assess experience, production history, business goals, cultural fit, and long-term potential.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, resourceful, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with executive leadership, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other internal partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established relationships within the mortgage industry and the ability to continue expanding a professional network.
  • Experience recruiting for independent mortgage banks, retail mortgage lenders, or bank mortgage divisions.
  • Familiarity with mortgage licensing, NMLS requirements, and multi-state recruiting.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, social media, and recruiting analytics.
  • Knowledge of Loan Officer compensation plans, branch structures, recruiting economics, and team transitions.
  • Experience supporting the onboarding, integration, or early business growth of newly recruited Loan Officers or teams.

Success Metrics

Success in this role will be measured through the candidateโ€™s ability to:

  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified Loan Officers, teams, and branch opportunities.
  • Recruit and onboard mortgage professionals who align with First Savings Mortgageโ€™s business needs, standards, and culture.
  • Generate meaningful candidate conversations and advance qualified prospects through the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Meet or exceed agreed-upon recruiting and organizational growth goals.
  • Build long-term industry relationships that support repeat recruiting success and future market opportunities.
  • Create and improve recruiting resources, outreach practices, reporting, and candidate nurture strategies.
  • Contribute to a coordinated onboarding experience and the successful integration of new hires.
  • Contribute directly to production growth, team development, and market expansion.
  • Performance-based recruiting incentives and bonuses
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Remote work flexibility
