Position PurposeThe Mortgage Branch Manager performs a wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans and management of sales team. The Mortgage Branch Manager is expected to meet or exceed the standards and objectives defined by the management for mortgage loan sales and cross-selling. The Mortgage Branch Manager is expected to provide excellent customer service and leadership as well as manage his/her pipeline accordingly.
Position Responsibilities
  • Markets residential mortgage loan products to real estate agents, prospective homebuyers and/or builder sales representative. Spends 25% or more of the workday conducting marketing activities and closing business outside of the work-site (including home office).
  • Originates loan applications ensuring correct pricing, fulfillment of investor guidelines, compliance with federal and state banking credit, and non discrimination regulations.
  • Completes all applications, including: Good Faith, Details of transaction and all information required on a 1003.
  • Assists the processor in securing needed documentation as required for loan approval.
  • Constantly reviews investor guidelines, in order to remain current with agency (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, MHF) and individual investor guidelines.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned (job duties may be added from time to time by the employer in its sole and absolute discretion).
  • Maintains high levels of customer service while managing each applicant's and support staffs expectations.
  • Leads, manages and coaches a staff of MLO's or Operational team members including assigning of work, time management and conducting Performance Management Review (PMR) related activities.

Minimum Education & Experience
  • 3+ years' work experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer/Originator
  • 2+ years' experience acting in a Branch Manager capacity
  • Prior experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Experience in originating loans for sale to FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and/or CDA preferred.
  • Experience using a mortgage loan management system is required; Encompass experience highly preferred.

Compensation
  • This is a 100% commission-based role.
